Information on the class:
Communication touches virtually every aspect of our lives both at work and outside of work. Communication skills are the key factors in whether an environment is one of energy, collaboration, and comfort, or one of hostility, conflict and avoidance. Interestingly enough, many people resist communication training because they think these are skills that everyone should already know by the time they reach adulthood. However, we all really know that isn’t true. Communication skills are vitally important for the success of any system.

There are a lot of communication training programs out there but Fast Track Communication’s Interpersonal Communication is definitely unique. This training helps participants build knowledge and skills and actually walk away from the training with a better understanding of communication problems and specific techniques for how to make communication better. Even if you have taken one (or many) communication classes before, we promise you, this one is different and worth your time!

In this two-day class training participants will:

  • diagnose their own communication style and when this style works well and when this style does not work well
  • learn the unwritten “rules” of each communication style that are so important for effectiveness with each of the styles
  • learn and practice listening skills that really work
  • learn how to apply the knowledge and skills to a wide variety of communication situations at home and at work.
